Who we worked with
Bedrock Anguilla and a network of participating vendors were our main collaborators. These vendors, spread across multiple sectors, aimed to improve their customer loyalty programs to encourage repeat business.
How we helped
We assisted Bedrock Anguilla by creating an innovative RFID-based customer loyalty solution for a hackathon competition. This system allowed customers to collect loyalty points seamlessly at participating vendors, promoting customer engagement and repeat business.
What the company needed
Bedrock Anguilla needed a more efficient and customer-friendly loyalty program that would both attract and retain customers. They wanted a system that was easy for customers to use, secure, and could be quickly adopted by vendors.
What the company got
Bedrock Anguilla received a comprehensive loyalty system allowing customers to collect points wirelessly at participating vendors and redeem them in-store. The system offered a seamless, user-friendly experience that boosted customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Wireless points collection at every participating vendor.
- In-store redemption with the same RFID card.
- RFID-based hardware integrated at the point of sale.
- User-friendly customer interface — tap to earn, tap to redeem, no app required.
- Easy vendor integration — drops into existing checkout flows without re-engineering.
- Seamless customer experience across the multi-merchant network.
The challenge
The primary challenge was designing and implementing a loyalty program that was easy to use, secure, and could be easily integrated into the operations of participating vendors. Additionally, the system needed to be enticing enough to drive customer engagement and loyalty — a card sitting unused in a wallet doesn't move the needle for anyone.
The solution
We developed an RFID-based loyalty system that allowed wireless points collection and in-store redemption. The system was designed to be user-friendly for customers and easy for vendors to implement, ensuring a win-win situation for all stakeholders. The hardware sits at the merchant's point of sale; the customer taps; the points appear in real time on both sides of the transaction.
The impact
The introduction of the new loyalty system led to increased customer engagement and enhanced customer loyalty. It streamlined the points collection and redemption process for customers, and participating vendors reported positive feedback and increased customer retention rates.
Implementation successfully boosted stakeholder satisfaction and operational efficiency across the vendor network. The Bedrock loyalty program demonstrated that the right hardware, paired with a system that's easy to operate, can change customer behaviour without changing how the merchant runs their business.
